Tom was a loving and kind man. I would give Elaine a hand getting Tom in and out of their car and I don’t think I heard him complain and I knew he was in a lot of pain. A great sense of humour and enjoyed his humour and laughter. Tom will certainly be missed by his Bethel Baptist church family. Wednesdays and sundays just won’t be the same.
God bless the Baucom family during these days of grief and for the days to follow Elaine.

Bro. Baucom was a tremendous influence in my life. I met him at our home church in Greenfield, IN, shortly after I yielded to the call to preach. As a young man who had just entered the ministry, I found in him an example I knew I wanted to follow.
I cannot begin to list the godly characteristics he displayed every time I encountered him, but God’s Word does:
Galatians 5:22–23
But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith,
Meekness, temperance: against such there is no law.
Though it has been years—decades even—since I have seen him, I still mention him and the influence he had on my life. He and his dear family were especially kind to us when they invited us to spend a few days with them at the Six Nations Indian Reserve. If memory serves me, I asked him what we could bring that wasn’t easily available, and his answer was “beans and Coke.” I believe we arrived with a 50-lb bag of beans and a couple of cases of Coke.
Bro. Baucom may never have realized the reach of his ministry, but it has touched many in Northwest Ohio over the past 25 years, where I have pastored and referenced him often.
Thank you, Bro. Baucom, for the testimony you had for Christ.

I have not known a finer Christian man than Tommy Baucom. His love for his wife and children, for the men and women of the Six Nations, and for the pastors he befriended, was all an outgrowth of his unfailing love for his savior, Jesus Christ. Our church is richer to have heard him laugh and sing and minister the word of God. Our lives were made better by the many visits we made to Garlow Line BC and the days spent in his home, being blessed by he and Sister Elaine. He is irreplaceable. We are honored to have known him and to have served with him.

It has been a joy for our church to support the Baucom family for 37 years. After Brother Tom's retirement we still sent his support. Brother Tom and his wife are wonderful people. I'm so glad our path's crossed many years ago. We will be praying for his family, and we love yall in the Lord. Brother Randy Pearman / Lake Brandt Baptist Church / Greensboro N.C.

My deepest condolences to Elaine and family. What blessing to have met Brother Tommy. We were always met with a warm welcome anytime we visited Garlow Line. Brother Tommy was one of a kind. His deep love for God, and the people of Garlow Line was a blessing to see. The memory of the meetings there and the precious singing will always be remembered.
Thank you Lord, for allowing my path to meet your servant Tommy.

My condolences to the Baucom family. It was always a blessing to go to one of Brother Tommy's meetings. He was a gracious and loving Christian, who always made you feel welcome. It was great to hear the testimonies of those who were closest to him and tell of their own special memories of him. Though he will be greatly missed, praise God, we will see him again one day.
