July 13, 1958 - May 2, 2026

 

Peacefully surrounded by family members at his home on May 2, 2026. Survived by his wife, his kitten, Alison, his children Brandi (Dobbs), Dynera “Boo”, Rick (Cassey), Raili “sugar baby”, and Thomas. His grandchildren Kaylee (Ryan), Davin (Meghan), Chantel (Denver), Shae, Kallym, Nevaeh, Miah, Korbin, Delilah, Maddy “Mad dog”, Liam and great grandchildren Beanasaur, Babycakes and Jettson.

Predeceased by his parents Russell and Isabelle Maracle and his siblings, Stanley, Glen, Barbara & Carson. Also survived by his siblings, Kenneth, Janace, Beverley, Deborah, Kevin, Ronnie, Brian and Pork. He also leaves behind many nieces, nephews and cousins.

Steve was a Cayuga Ball Deer Chief and his sister Janace Maracle a Clan Mother for the Lower Cayuga Longhouse.
Steve will also be missed by his special friend Gary. 

Steve was a loving husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather. He was an avid fisherman, builder and horn rattle maker.

Resting at 3696 River Range Road on Sunday May 3, 2026 after 6pm. Funeral Service and burial will take place at Lower Cayuga Longhouse at 11am on Monday May 4, 2026.

We were saddened to hear that Steve had taken ill and then had passed. We've known Steve for a long time and he always had a big smile and time for a quick chat to catch up. Sincere condolences to Alison and family and to Steve's Maracle family. Rest in peace.
