Margaret Eleanor (nee: Weylie) Peart
July 9, 1929 - March 2, 2026
Margaret Eleanor Peart (nee Weylie) died peacefully on the 2nd of March 2026 at Anson Place, Hagersville in her 97th year. For 57 years, Eleanor was the loving wife of the late Frank Peart (2007). Eleanor is survived by her children, Carolyn Mullins, Douglas Peart (Mary-Ann) and Susan Elmes (Keith) and grandchildren Ian Mullins (Melissa), Kaitlyn Jones (Bill), Spencer Mullins, Jennifer Peart (Charlie Anderson), Heather Cox (Peter), Garret Elmes (Kerry), Alexander Elmes, and 9 great grandchildren. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews. Eleanor is predeceased by her sisters Bessie Beattie (J.C.) and Kay Fickley (Ted), and sister-in-law Marion Peart and brother-in-law Alvin Peart (Anne), and son-in-law Jeff Mullins.
Eleanor’s passions were Oneida UCW, Clanbrassil Women’s Institute, the Oneida Sociables, and Farm Forum. Her greatest joy of all was her family; her children and grandchildren were so special to her. The Peart family gatherings were always filled with laughter and love.
In lieu of flowers donations to Oneida United Church or the Canadian Cancer Society would be appreciated by the family.
The family would like to express our deepest gratitude to the staff at Anson Place, Hagersville for 10 years of friendship and wonderful care.
The family will honour her life with a visitation at the Hyde & Mott Chapel of R.H.B. Anderson Funeral Homes Ltd., 60 Main St. S., Hagersville on Friday from 2-4 pm. Funeral service will be held in the chapel on Saturday, March 7, 2026 at 2pm. Interment Gore Cemetery. www.rhbanderson.com

Our condolences to Eleanor’s family. She and our mother Earla have been roommates at Anson for the last 3 years. There was an Oneida connection with Eleanor as Earla grew up on the first line and always enjoyed the farm. We would talk about farming with Eleanor and both her and Earla would light up. And baking! Eleanor seemed to light up when talking about baking a pie! I told Earla she will be getting a new roommate and she said as long as she is just like Eleanor! She was everyone’s grandma and will be missed.

My sincere condolences Carolyn. No matter how old we are, it's hard to let our mothers go. We can only do it because they live on in our hearts forever. x0x
