Adam “Philip” VanEvery-Albert
November 9, 1980 - February 29, 2024

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our son and brother Phil “Philbert” VanEvery-Albert. We will remember Phil as the gentle giant with the biggest heart in the world and in the end, it was his heart that took him from this world. He is survived by his daughter Carida Booker, parents Gaetan “Gator” Albert and Claudine “Dicki” VanEvery-Albert, his sisters, Caroline VanEvery-Albert and Robert and Jesee & Brian Williams. Special nephew to Carolyn “Cao” Beaver. He will be lovingly remembered by his nieces and nephews, Ava, Tresham and Kellar Swanson and Nimkii Smoke-LeFort and Kaya’tyenens VanEvery-LeFort. Phil is also survived by his remaining grandmother Jean Albert. Predeceased by grandparents Don and Mary “Pen” Bloomfield and Wilfrid Albert. Phil will be missed by his many VanEvery and Albert Aunts, Uncles and cousins.

Phil was an avid computer and car fanatic. He will be great missed by his VW Army, his music buddies and special friends, Triton, Vlad, Joel, and Patrick. He will also be missed by his special VW friend Scully and his bestie from the store Dez.

Phil also loved his TAG crew Karyn, Keaton and Sarah and our office greeters; his four legged pals Janeway and “the football” Daisy.   https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ChfR2kSd8YA

Resting at Styres Funeral Home, 1798 4th Line Rd. from 7-9 pm. Tuesday where funeral service will be held at 11 am. on Wednesday, March 6, 2024.  Interment to follow at Stumphall Cemetery.  www.rhbanderson.com

Philbert; I will miss you forever :(. Your insights and humour always made me smile, even when I was feeling down.
Your help with my Cars, our Douglas Adams, Simpsons, Red Dwarf, Star Trek and Doctor Who references that nobody else would get were invaluable. You were a friend like no other. RIP.

It's been a few days since your passing and I'm still baffled how the world could lose such an amazing and brilliant man. You educated me on cars (VAG), you educated me on all our wild and crazy music tastes, and most importantly....you educated me on life. My thoughts and prayers are with everyone during this difficult time as we try to make sense of why God took his angel back.

Phil, I love you Mann.
I loved the car shows last season, I loved you helping with the rallye golf and the new jetta, I just loved you being around.

Your brother.

Phil... still hard to believe you're gone. Way way many awesome memories from way back. So glad we were able to kick it again a few times when I returned to Ontario. Going to miss the positivity and in-depth insights, crazy hair brained ideas, projects and just the random talks in general.
Gone way to soon but will never be forgotten
R.i.p Philbert

Phil, you welcomed me into the VW community 20 years ago. You were the first person I spoke to when joining my first car club, generation dub. Many cruises, car shows and VW nights at timmies in Cambridge, and all are great memories.

Although we lost touch some years ago, the memories and how welcome I felt in that first club have stayed with me, as will my memories of you,

Rest in peace Phil.
VW Army will always remember you!!

My first memory of Phil is of this sweet baby with that cute head tilt. I envisioned him looking at the world that way, a little differently but with sharp perspective. Phil was bright, I remember telling his parents to mark my words, that when Phil would get tested in 5th grade he would carry the label...."gifted" and he was in so many ways. I will miss that smile, that "look" and his messages to me. Our back and forth was insightful and felt like such a gift! He was taken much too soon. He had so much more to give but I am grateful for what he shared with me. Rest in peace, sweet Phil!

Phil was a mentor, and philosopher, and a brilliant friend. A trusted advisor, punk rock appreciator, and hilarious pundit. His passing leaves a huge hole in many hearts and lives. He quietly filled up so many of our hearts and made us think. He helped so many of his friends understand the world in deeper ways. I joked that he would write a book: "The Tao of Phil"
I'll think of him when I hear the whirr of a turbo, the scent of diesel exhaust, the mention of bitcoin, a nice, smooth patch of asphalt, and spending time near the beautiful Grand. He is cherished in our hearts forever.

My deepest heartfelt condolences to "Philbert"s family.
He was a wonderful young man who I had the pleasure of knowing. He was a kind soul and I enjoyed the time we had hanging together with our VW Army family. We had many laughs at our shenanigans during many shows and get-togethers, I will cherish these memories. Much love to all the VanEvery-Albert family members.

Phil, I haven't seen you in years, but I'll miss you forever.
So many good times playing in bands with you when we were young.
Thanks for the memories.
No one smashed the snare as hard as you!
Rest in peace my man.
