Donald Skye

September 24, 1935 - February 11, 2026

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our father and Papa, Donald Skye. He is predeceased by his dear wife Rena. Father to Lesley, Vince & Lori, Donald (Pete) & Wendy, Lyle (Cook)& Stacey, Andrea (deceased) and Corey. Papa to Rushton & Trisha, Krissy, Kate, Spencer, Andrew & Tash, Joe, Dylan, Lacey, Dusty & Rachel. Great Papa to April, Mya, Avry, Alex, Lil Bob, Jackson, Tyson, Emma, and Ivan.  Predeceased by mother Bessie Skye.  Brother to Ed & Sandra, Raymond & Wilma.

He was accomplished in so many ways, beyond being a wonderful, kind, gentle, and generous Dad and Papa. He belonged to the Ironworkers Local 736, was owner of the Greens at Renton, and was an avid golfer and club champion at various courses.  We will forever remember his sound advice to us all, “Hit ‘em straight!”

Resting at 2186 Tuscarora Road with visitation on Feb 12, 2026 after 5pm. He will go to Cayuga Longhouse at 11am on Saturday February 14, 2026.  Arrangements by Styres Funeral Home, Ohsweken.  www.rhbanderson.com

My condolences to the Skye Family. To loose a leader is a loss. But to loose a leader & a Father is twice as hard. QAs many have said "Don always had a smile & would take time to talk to you." God bless.

Your father and mother were two of the finest people I have ever met
I have known Don since the JADCO days and always looked forward when he and Lyle stopped at the shop in Jarvis for business or a visit
He was a true gentleman and businessman and always had a good word of advice
May he rest in eternal peace

We were neighbors on 5th line when I was a kid. Many memories of the Skye family.

I’m a firm believer that when we lose someone close to us , like a father they continue to live on through us and give us unbelievable strength.
