Alfred Kienitz
January 2, 1930 - June 9, 2023
Dear son of Gottlieb and Rosalie; wife of Margot (2006). Survived by his last remaining sibling, Liesel. Predeceased by siblings Siegfried (in the war), Erna, Else, Erich and Gustav.

Dad was an avid hunter and butcher already apprenticing at the age of 14 while living away from home during WW 11. Faithful active member of Brethren in Christ Church, Cheapside. He loved the outdoors and family gatherings.
He is survived by his 4 children: Anne (Ray), Bert (Heather), Wayne (Elaine), & Doris (John). Pre-deceased by twin daughters at birth and son Manfred (2021). Opa to 9 grandchildren, and 21 great-grandchildren.
Cremation has taken place. Donations may be made to Sellkirk Church of Christ in Sellkirk or West Haldimand Hospital in Hagersville. Arrangements by Hyde & Mott Chapel, Hagersville. www.rhbanderson.com

Doris, John & Kienitz family, so very sorry to hear of Fred’s passing. Fred was a wonderful man, always a pleasure to talk with. He & Margot were amazing friends & so helpful to my Aunt Bertha. I will always remember that. May you find comfort at this difficult time

I was adopted to the Kienitz family when I was a little boy. Alfred is my Opa. I ran away 22 years ago due to family issues. Opa now knows everything. He was good. His family was amazing. I wish some things turned out differently But things always go to the plan. The crazy plan. I love you all Kienitz family. I have missed my Opa for 22 years already. We will all be together again in time, in a different setting. Xoxoxo. Wayne Jr.

I will always miss you Opa. You and Oma were always so wonderful. I miss the rest of the family and hope they are all well. I will miss hanging out with Oma in the kitchen and the stories she would tell me about her life. Please give Oma a big hug and kiss for me. I think of you both often with happy memories. Love you all. Rachel
